New residents have 60 days after
establishing residency to get their North Carolina driver's license.

Newcomers should bring their
out-of-state license, Social Security card, and proof of liability
insurance to a testing station, where they must pass a written exam,
road signs test, and eye exam.

Road tests are given at the examiner's
discretion.

You may get your driver's license at
the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles Monday - Friday, 8 a.m.
to 5 p.m.

Education
Important to every community, to every person, of every age, education

school systems in the state, and to two colleges, Alamance County provides
educational opportunities for everyone who lives here.

Burlington School System. Home to over 20,000 students in 31 schools
with over 1,200 teachers, the school system offers one of the best
educations available in North Carolina.

Alamance Community College is a 2-year college with Associates degrees
available in many different disciplines. ACC also provides community
and continuing education outside of degree-seeking programs.
